Zaeeda February Feature

My name is Emma Rodriguez, but my online name is Zaeeda, pronounced Zay-duh. I am a 31 year old stay at home mom. I have 3 children and a long term boyfriend. I started playing video games when I was 5 and fell in love with everything that gaming is about.

I have been a Simmer since The Sims was released back in February of 2000. I was 12 years old then. I think the thing that I love the most about The Sims is having control over the characters that you're playing with, unlike real life where I am not really in control at all. It is also very relaxing for me, especially when I am building homes or different rooms.

I would say Sims 3 is my favorite Sims game. Though it was a buggy mess at best, I think that that particular part of The Sims franchise was really fun. The amount of content that EA put out was great, not to mention all of those fabulous mods out there. The stories and challenges that I did for The Sims 3 were endless. My favorite was doing a "Charmed" story-line when Supernatural came out.

When it comes to gameplay, I like doing a Rags to Riches story. I think those are the best. I see everyone doing the 100 Baby challenge and I just don't have the patience for 100 Sims 4 Toddlers. Sometimes I like to mix thing up and cause a little family drama with The Pancakes.

The only reason that I would stop playing The Sims would either be because I died or full dive technology came out and I was stuck in a virtual world.

From a builders aspect, one of my favorite things about The Sims 4 is that you can move entire rooms if you made a mistake. Also I am really loving the new stairs they put in. Split level homes has been a dream forever and the developers finally listened!

There are also some things in The Sims 4 that I don't particularly like, such as non-existent burglars, No color wheel for CAS, build and buy modes and that they didn't implement a memory function like they did with Sims 3 Generations.

I think that making newborns into a Sim and not an object would be a great start to improve The Sims 4 for the better. Then they could add more things for elders to do.

I really enjoy The Sims community. I haven't run into any bad vibes, which is always great. Everyone is always really helpful and supportive of each others creations. Plus, I've made quite a few friends in the community.

I create builds in the gallery. I used to use an app called The Sims 4 Amino, because it was a great way to tell my Sims stories. Who knows, I may pick that up again in the future. I stream on Twitch, and I am also very active on Twitter and Instagram. Both usernames are @ItsZaeeda
